Background
Diagonal Mar is the largest multi-use development in Europe. The development is made up of a shopping mall, office and residential towers, convention facilities, hotels and parks—all facing the Mediterranean Sea. Hines’ first project in Barcelona, Diagonal Mar needed an identity that was exciting, dynamic and refined and could be readily adapted for each use and for merchandising.
Solution
The challenge was to create a universal identity that could be used in a wide range of applications, from printed and electronic marketing materials to signage. The resulting mark evokes both the zest of Barcelona and the dynamism of the sea. It is strong, elegant and adaptable.
