Background
Founded in Houston, Texas, in 1957 as an investment building firm, Hines rapidly became one of the foremost real estate investment, development and management firms in the world. Its original identity was closely tied to construction imagery. As the firm broadened its offerings in practice areas as well as geographically, it needed a new logo that would underscore its leadership position.
Solution
The Hines logo had to be strong and sophisticated. Fresh, yet timeless. It needed to be as effective in Beijing as it was in Berlin, Barcelona and Boston. Hill designed a mark that is simple, elegant, bold and conservative. A simple block dots the “i” in Hinesthe building block of the future. Since introducing its new identity, Hines has applied it to an international stationery program, signage, collateral materials, specialty items and the Web.
